The name Kundel has been known in the construction industry since the early 50’s when Robert Kundel Sr., president of Kundel Industries, worked for his father Steve Kundel and their family owned business, Kundel Construction. Having 30 years experience in the excavating business and family roots deeply embedded in construction, Robert used his background to develop a trench box that was designed around the contractor’s needs including; pipe length, excavator capabilities, soil conditions, and contractor usage by re-enforcing areas most common for abuse. In 1987 Kundel Industries began to forge its way in the trenching industry with the introduction of the original Titan Trench Shield.

Now a new generation of the Kundel family has grown up in the industry and become a part of recent advancements in technology that are emerging on the market today. Many young and ambitious people, some with humble beginnings, have joined the family and worked diligently in becoming an integral part of the Kundel team and great leaders of the business today. As a result, Kundel has grown from a meager 2,000 square foot facility to now well over 100,000 square feet. In recent years Kundel has been able to develop a full line of trench shielding and shoring equipment including the recent acquisition of the Allied TrenShor line. Consequently, the Kundel name has always been synonymous with the best product and best customer service, but what Kundel Industries prides itself most on is its’ employees.
